Overview

Overview is the main Boost workspace with group statistics for the organization. By default, the widgets contain key metrics for all your app families and their applications. These metrics help you quickly assess business indicators and see important changes. Data is only displayed for the app families you have access to.

In Boost, you can view statistics in organization mode, meaning across all applications of all app families simultaneously. This capability is not available in the AppMetrica service.

On the overview workspace, you can edit the set of widgets, their order, and settings:

  • time period;
  • currency for displaying monetization widgets.

By default, only some widgets are available on the overview workspace. You can add preset or custom widgets. To do this, click the Add button in the upper right corner.

You can also set any system or custom workspace that you created yourself as the overview workspace. The selected workspace will completely replace the current one. To do this:

  1. Open the Workspaces section.
  2. Next to the selected workspace, click three dotsSet as overview.

Default widgets

When you are in organization mode, the metrics on the overview workspace are calculated for all app families and all applications available to you. You can select a specific app family and view a separate, customized overview workspace for it.

Data in widgets may not be available if you don't use the Monetization or Analytics module. To start receiving data, integrate the Analytics and Monetization SDKs.

The widgets on the organization overview workspace by default are grouped by sections:

Key Analytics and Ad Monetization Metrics

  • Total Revenue is the total revenue in the application for the period from three sources:

    • ad revenue;
    • in-app purchases;
    • in-app subscriptions.
  • Total ARPDAU (Average Revenue Per Daily Active User) is the average revenue generated by each active user of the mobile application per day. It shows how effectively monetization strategies convert daily user engagement into revenue.

    • Revenue (Total Ad)
    • Engaged users (Total Ad)
    • Impressions per app user (Total Ad)
    • Ad Viewer Rate (Total Ad)
  • In-app revenue by OS

    Choose one of the metrics:

    • In-app revenue is the total revenue from in-app purchases and subscriptions.
    • Paying users is the number of users who made at least one in-app purchase or subscription during the selected period.
    • Purchases per paying user is the ratio of in-app purchases and subscriptions to the number of paying users during the selected period.
    • % of paying users is the ratio of users with in-app purchases or subscriptions to all users during the selected period.
  • Revenue per session (Total Ad) is the total ad revenue from in-app purchases and subscriptions received per session. It's calculated as the ratio of total ad revenue from in-app purchases and subscriptions to the number of sessions during the selected period.

  • Ad ARPU (Total Ad) is the average ad revenue per active user. It's calculated as the ratio of the application's ad revenue for the selected period to the number of application users for the same period.

  • In-app ARPU is the average revenue per user from in-app purchases and subscriptions. It's calculated as the ratio of the application's total revenue from in-app purchases and subscriptions to the total number of application users during the selected period.

  • In-app ARPPU is the ratio of the application's total revenue from in-app purchases and subscriptions to the number of paying users during the selected period.

Analytics / Product Metrics

  • Users is the number of users for the selected period from the Audience report.

  • New users is the number of new users for the selected period from the Audience report.

  • Time spent by OS is the total session duration divided by the number of users who had at least one session during the selected period. See the Engagement report for more details.

  • Sessions by OS is the number of user sessions. See the Engagement report for more details.

Ad Monetization / Ad Metrics

  • Ad Revenue by Bundle is the total revenue from ad impressions (banners, videos), grouped by app bundle/package (Bundle ID or Package Name). This metric is used to evaluate the monetization effectiveness of each application and calculate ROI. See the In-app and Ad Revenue report for more details.

  • Impressions by Bundle is the number of impressions for the selected period, grouped by app bundle/package.

  • Ad ARPDAU by Bundle is the average ad revenue generated by each active user of the mobile application per day, grouped by app bundle/package.

  • YAN eCPM by Unit Type is the effective cost of ads per thousand impressions in YAN, grouped by ad unit types.

  • Mediation eCPM by Unit Type is the effective cost of ads per thousand impressions in mediation, grouped by ad unit types.

Access Rights

Users with "Read-only" access rights can view the main Overview workspace (without editing capabilities).

Users with "Read/Edit" access rights can edit the main Overview workspace.
