# Important update for outdated versions of the AppMetrica SDK

Please note that some older versions of the AppMetrica SDK need to be updated. This applies to the following versions of `com.yandex.android:mobmetricalib`:

- Version 5.3.0 (released March 3, 2023)
- Version 5.2.0 (released September 19, 2022) and earlier

The following versions **are not affected**:

- Versions starting from [6.0.0](https://boost.yandex.com/doc/en/analytics/content/sdk/android/changelog-android.md#s-6-0-0) (September 13, 2023)
- Versions 5.2.3 and 5.3.7

## Update recommendations {#recommendations}

Update your SDK to one of the following supported versions:

- 5.2.3 (`com.yandex.android:mobmetricalib:5.2.3`)
- 5.3.7 (`com.yandex.android:mobmetricalib:5.3.7`)

If you’re already using version 6.0.0+ (`io.appmetrica.analytics`), no action is needed.

## How to find out your current SDK version {#version}

There are two ways:

- Ask your development team which version of `com.yandex.android:mobmetricalib` is in use. If you're using `io.appmetrica.analytics` instead, no update is required.
- In the Analytics module interface, go to **Reports** → **Technologies** → **SDK Version**. 

  - If you see versions 6.0 or higher, or 5.2.3 / 5.3.7, no update is needed.
  - The report may include older versions. That’s expected, as not all users update their apps right away.

## Timeline {#duedates}

We recommend updating as soon as possible to avoid potential issues and ensure the best experience for your users.
